Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
- Provide compassionate pre-operative and post-operative care instructions
- Capture and develop dental x-rays with precision
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Uphold strict infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-specific)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in oral surgery or general dentistry preferred
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of dental terminology and surgical instruments
- Proficiency with dental software and record keeping
- Keen attention to sterilization and infection control standards
- Compassionate approach to patient interaction
