MRI Technologist - Travel
Location: Austin, Texas
Start Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM (night shift), with required call from 1:00 AM - 3:00 AM; weekend call 1 time per month
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI scans for full body, brain, abdomen, and extremity imaging
- Operate GE and Siemens MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize image quality
- Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech EMR
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency imaging needs
- Follow MRI safety protocols and unit guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Valid ARRT (MR) certification as an MRI Technologist
- Minimum 1 year of MRI imaging experience
- Experience with GE and Siemens MRI equipment
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to perform full body MRI imaging including routine body, brain, abdomen, and extremity studies
- Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- MRI full body imaging techniques
- Cardiac MRI experience is a nice plus
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Patient positioning and MRI safety protocols
- Proficiency in contrast administration and image analysis
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently on night shift
