Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform critical microbiology STAT testing to support rapid patient diagnosis
Conduct precise gram stains for immediate insights
Set up cultures with meticulous attention to detail
Read and interpret cultures to guide treatment decisions
Collaborate with a skilled team of 24 staff serving the entire HCA Denver Market

Qualifications

MLT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), or M (ASCP) certification required
At least 6 months of current hospital microbiology experience
2+ years overall experience preferred
BLS certification a plus

Education

ASCP certification in Medical Laboratory Technology

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in clinical laboratory microbiology
Proficiency with advanced equipment like Virtuos, Liat, Cepheid, Verigene, and Biofire
Meditech EMR experience
Culture reading and manual plating skills
