Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed, and monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions
• Perform comprehensive assessments, document patient conditions, and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate residents and families on health management, medication regimens, and discharge planning
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment, adhering to infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in the state of Maryland
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced care environment
• Must provide state or federal issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times while on assignment
• Completed original or updated COVID-19 vaccine or documented religious/medical exemption

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills for assessing changing patient conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the care team and support families
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during night shifts
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a commitment to quality care
• Knowledge of infection control standards and safety protocols
