Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients across Telemetry, MedSurg, Cardiovascular, and Neuro units
• Monitor and interpret EKGs, recognizing dysrhythmias and responding quickly
• Titrate cardiac drips such as Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine with precision
• Float flexibly between units and campuses to ensure staffing needs are met
• Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and techs to deliver safe, compassionate care
• Document patient care in Cerner and communicate effectively with the entire care team

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license
• 2+ years of recent experience in Telemetry or MedSurg nursing
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing
• Experience titrating cardiac drips is a must
• Comfortable floating to various units and between campuses

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Proficiency in cardiac drip titration
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and central monitoring systems
