Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional occupational therapy services for patients with upper extremity injuries including shoulder repairs, wrist and elbow tendonitis, and fractures
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using ReDoc and MEDITECH for documentation
• Collaborate with rehab aides and a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Treat a mix of outpatient orthopedic patients, with occasional acute inpatient and rehab cases
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with department standards
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and home programs

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Occupational Therapist license (or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Strong experience in outpatient orthopedics, specifically upper extremity conditions (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand)
• Experience with MEDITECH and ReDoc charting systems preferred
• Lymphedema training is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in upper extremity orthopedic rehabilitation
• Knowledge of acute inpatient, acute rehab, transitional care, and outpatient settings
• Skilled in hand therapy, including splinting and therapeutic exercise
• Proficient in MEDITECH and ReDoc documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage a caseload of about 12 patients per day
