Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive sleep studies and polysomnographic evaluations for patients
• Monitor patients throughout sleep studies, tracking brain waves, breathing, and other vital signs
• Score and analyze sleep data to assist physicians in diagnosing sleep disorders
• Prepare and calibrate equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results
• Educate patients on sleep study procedures and provide comfort and reassurance
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop effective treatment plans

Qualifications

• Active RPSGT certification through BRPT
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist
• Experience with Nihon Kohden, Sphinx, and ResMed TxLink 2 equipment
• Familiarity with MEDITECH electronic health records
• Ability to work night shifts and one weekend per month

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sleep stages, respiratory events, and cardiac monitoring
• Proficiency in polysomnography equipment and software
• Attention to detail for accurate data scoring
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused during overnight shifts
