Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans for MSK, Neuro, and Body studies on inpatients and outpatients
• Start IVs and draw creatinine levels as part of imaging preparation
• Operate Philips and Siemens 1.5T equipment to produce diagnostic images
• Document imaging procedures accurately in Meditech and Synapse
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
• Precept and mentor new team members when needed
• Float between College Station and Bryan campuses as staffing needs arise
• Participate in the on-call rotation to cover after-hours and weekend imaging needs

Qualifications

• Active ARRT (MR) certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Active Medical Radiologic Technologist license from the Texas Medical Board
• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience
• Experience with Philips and Siemens equipment strongly required
• Proficiency with 1.5T equipment and IV insertion
• Willingness to take call and float between campuses

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in MRI imaging protocols for MSK, Neuro, and Body
• Comfortable with Philips and Siemens scanners
• Knowledge of EMR systems such as Meditech and Synapse
• Skilled in IV placement and creatinine draws
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with MEDHOST charting system
