Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to both adult and pediatric patients with conditions like pneumonia, COPD, UTIs, and altered mental status
• Monitor patient conditions and assess for changes, documenting everything accurately in MEDITECH
• Administer medications, including electrolyte replacements and diuretics, while following facility protocols
• Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team including charge nurses, nurse aides, and providers
• Apply telemetry monitors and interpret rhythms when needed
• Float to the ED/ICU for 1:1 patient care assignments when necessary

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Dakota or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• At least 1 year of experience in Med Surg or Peds
• Experience with MEDITECH charting is a plus
• Ability to pass a fit test for N95 respirators (no facial hair)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a close-knit unit
• Motivated, approachable, and ready to ask questions when unsure
• Comfortable managing a 1:4 or 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Adaptable and willing to float to other units as needed
• Basic knowledge of pediatric and adult care standards
