Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for a diverse inpatient and outpatient caseload
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Collaborate with a supportive interdisciplinary team including PTAs, nurses, and rehab techs
• Treat a variety of conditions including post-surgical orthopedics, fractures, neuro cases, deconditioning, and wound care
• Float between inpatient and outpatient settings based on census, approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient
• Document patient progress accurately using MEDITECH charting system
• Mentor and precept new staff as needed

Qualifications

• Active Texas Physical Therapist license and national license as applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred
• Wound care experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to pass a background check and provide a government-issued ID for validation

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in treating orthopedic, neurologic, and general debility diagnoses
• Comfortable with wound care and VAC management (preferred)
• Proficient in MEDITECH charting
• Strong clinical reasoning for acute and skilled patient populations
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating census and float between IP/OP
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
