Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, responses, and clinical changes
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the patient record
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings preferred
- Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- LPN diploma or vocational nursing certificate
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and basic nursing procedures
- Medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
- Infection control practices and safety protocols
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
