Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients, following individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely with attention to detail
- Perform thorough assessments and promptly report changes in condition to the care team
- Document care activities and patient responses clearly and professionally
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and safety measures to support better outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar facility is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Local candidates only as this role is designated for staff living within the area
Education
- Completed LPN/Vocational Nursing program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid medication administration and documentation practices
- Ability to perform patient assessments and recognize subtle changes
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and point-of-care charting
- Good time management, prioritization, and delegation skills
