Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care with compassion and clinical skill, making each patient feel seen
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report changes to the care team promptly
• Document assessments and interventions clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to create coordinated care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control best practices

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico license preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain promptly
• Comfortable working day and 12+ hour overnight shifts (Thu/Fri evenings into mornings)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a multidisciplinary team
• Local candidate (LOCAL ONLY) able to commute to Rio Rancho Center

Education

• LPN / Vocational Nursing diploma or equivalent completion of an accredited practical nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic clinical assessments and vital sign interpretation
• Wound care and routine nursing procedures
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation skills
• Prioritization, time management, and safe patient handling
• Professional communication with patients, families, and teammates
