Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Assess and document patient conditions, reporting changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Uphold safety and infection control standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in Maryland (or compact state, if applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or geriatrics preferred
• Must have completed the original or updated COVID-19 vaccine or present documented religious/medical exemption
• Ability to pass a background check and provide state or federal ID for badging
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing principles and practices in long-term care
• Medication administration and dosage calculation
• Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Compassionate bedside manner and attention to detail
