Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and promote patient comfort and dignity at all times
• Document care accurately in the patient record and maintain clear communication with colleagues
• Support resident engagement and participate in meaningful interactions to enhance quality of life
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active LNA certification (NH or VT as applicable) - must be current and in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working a night shift schedule and able to lift/assist per facility guidelines
• Professional, reliable, and able to pass background and health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care or a related setting is a plus but new grads are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care fundamentals and understanding of basic nursing tasks
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nurses and caregivers
• Accurate documentation and attention to detail
• Empathy, patience and the ability to prioritize resident safety
• Basic knowledge of infection prevention and proper body mechanics
