Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning while promoting resident dignity
• Perform routine documentation accurately and timely to support quality care
• Support infection control and safety protocols to maintain a healthy environment
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (NH or eligible for NH licensure)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Reliable background check and TB screening as required by facility
• Comfortable working evening shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistive techniques
• Basic documentation and charting practices
• Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Infection prevention and safe use of personal protective equipment
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
• Awareness of resident rights, dignity, and person-centered care principles
