Interventional Radiology Technologist - Neuro IR
Location: Richmond, Virginia

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Weekdays, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM; day shift with after-hours and weekend on-call rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of diagnostic and interventional angiography procedures with a focus on Neuro IR cases
- Operate Phillips and GE biplane imaging equipment to capture high-quality vascular images
- Assist interventionalists during complex neuroendovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique
- Prepare patients, assess pre-procedure status, and monitor hemodynamic stability throughout each case
- Maintain a well-organized angiography suite, inventory supplies, and support a collaborative team of 9 staff members
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage to provide timely emergency intervention
Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification and Virginia state licensure (or eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience, with demonstrated Neuro IR experience required
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Experience with Phillips and GE biplane systems and Meditech EMR is a plus
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of neurovascular anatomy and interventional procedures
- Proficiency with Phillips and GE biplane imaging equipment
- Working knowledge of Meditech EMR
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain composed during high-acuity stroke and neurointervention cases
