Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive proper nourishment
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and follow facility policies
• Foster a warm, respectful environment that promotes independence and quality of life

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required or equivalent certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist residents safely throughout a shift
• Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and ADLs
• Ability to follow care plans and baseline clinical directions
• Strong observation skills to notice subtle changes in condition
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Team-player mindset and adaptability in a busy care environment
