Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while promoting dignity and independence
Take and report vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Document care accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff promptly
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life
Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment by collaborating with colleagues

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric care preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care for older adults
Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Good documentation and reporting habits
Empathy, patience, and strong observational skills
