Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis to keep smiles healthy
• Assist the dentist during procedures with a steady hand and a warm chairside manner
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques that stick
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality
• Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene preferred
• A gentle touch and a friendly, patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments and procedures
• Skilled in patient education and communication
• Comfortable with electronic health records and dental software
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization best practices
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
