Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis.
• Partner with the dental team to ensure a smooth, comfortable patient experience.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Stay current with best practices and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene license or eligibility to obtain one
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Excellent chairside manner and a passion for patient education
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Experience in a clinical dental setting is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and radiography
• Skilled in performing prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
• Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA standards for patient safety
• Proficiency with dental software and patient records
• Strong interpersonal skills to put patients at ease
