Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to pediatric patients
• Perform routine cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
• Document patient care accurately using dental software
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Radiography (X-ray) certification
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with children and parents

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical dental hygiene skills
• Gentle, patient-centered approach with children
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pediatric office
• Team player with a positive, adaptable attitude
