Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and treatment recommendations
• Capture and develop dental x-rays to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning
• Partner with dentists to develop individualized care plans that prioritize patient comfort
• Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Keep the clinical environment sterile, organized, and ready for every patient visit

Qualifications

• Active New York State Dental Hygienist license (required)
• Current CPR certification (required)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, professional chairside manner
• Experience in a clinical dental setting is preferred, but new graduates with a passion for care are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental software and digital x-ray systems
• Solid understanding of infection control standards and OSHA guidelines
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented practice
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to keep patient care seamless
