Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care including teeth cleaning and polishing
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed while ensuring patient safety
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care techniques
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality
• Build rapport with patients to promote a positive dental experience

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening shifts
• Commitment to infection control and safety standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Knowledge of dental software for record-keeping and charting
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Gentle and empathetic approach to patient care
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
