Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging with accuracy and compassion
• Administer IV contrast and ensure patient safety throughout imaging procedures
• Capture trauma, mobile, and portable bedside images to support critical care needs
• Provide X-ray coverage in the OR as needed, adapting to changing patient conditions
• Participate in call coverage, including occasional evenings and weekends, to ensure 24/7 imaging availability
• Operate and maintain Siemens CT equipment, troubleshooting and optimizing image quality
• Document and manage patient information using multiple computer systems
• Work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required
• ARRT (CT) certification is preferred
• Active State of Maine Radiologic Technologist license
• BLS certification required
• One year of recent experience working independently in both diagnostic X-ray and CT
• COVID-19 vaccination is required
• Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced imaging environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technologist

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in routine diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging
• Experienced with trauma imaging and IV contrast administration
• Skilled in mobile and portable bedside imaging
• Knowledge of OR imaging and sterile technique
• Familiarity with Siemens CT equipment is preferred
• Adept at using multiple computer systems and EHR
• Understanding of call coverage and on-call protocols
