Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Start Date: 04-08-2025

End Date: 07-08-2025

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM with call requirement one weekend a month and 2-3 days per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub high-stakes cardiac, vascular and thoracic procedures like CABG, valves and TAVR
Support open heart surgeries and Level 2 trauma cases with precision
Collaborate with a small, experienced team of 9 staff members
Maintain sterile fields during complex interventions including EVAR and LVAD
Respond punctually to calls ensuring patient safety in critical moments

Qualifications

CST/ORT certification with at least 2 years experience
Proven cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgical experience
Punctual with 30-minute call back availability
Flexible and team-oriented personality
Comfortable in a small, high-performing CVOR unit

Education

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) credentials required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in scrubbing cardiac and vascular cases
Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
Proficiency with open heart equipment
Strong understanding of procedures like TEVAR, VATS and ECMO
Self-motivated approach in fast-paced OR environments
