Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident conditions accurately
- Support the nursing team with timely communication of changes in resident status
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and personal hygiene while promoting dignity
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Document care and observations clearly and promptly as directed by facility protocol
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- State registration or licensure as applicable in Pennsylvania
- Up-to-date basic health requirements (immunizations, TB test) and ability to pass background checks
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Ability to work 12-hour shift blocks and lift/assist residents as needed
Education
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Understanding of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Clear communication skills with residents, families, and team members
- Reliable time management and ability to follow care plans
