Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to patients on the Behavioral Health unit, supporting their safety and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Serve as a dedicated sitter on the Med Surg unit when needed, ensuring patient safety
• Document patient interactions and observations accurately in Point Click EMR
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain a calm and therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of Hawaii
• Current BLS/BCLS certification
• 1 year of experience as a CNA, preferably in behavioral health or psychiatric care
• Experience with Point Click EMR is a plus
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of behavioral health and psychiatric patient care principles
• Ability to perform vital sign monitoring and basic patient assessments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfort using electronic medical records (Point Click)
• Ability to stay calm and composed in challenging situations
• Understanding of safety and infection control protocols
