Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support patient mobility, transfers, and safe positioning with dignity
- Document care accurately in the chart/EHR and communicate updates to the team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required) and ability to work in New Mexico
- Local candidates only (position is local-only)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Comfort and experience working night shifts; strong teamwork and communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic nursing care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Proficient in taking/recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
- Familiarity with infection control standards and safe patient handling
- Comfortable using electronic charting/EHR systems
- Strong communication, time management, and compassionate bedside manner
