Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Day shift, 30-minute meal break)

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents in a skilled nursing and rehab setting
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
  • Take and record vital signs, and promptly report any changes in condition to the nursing team
  • Support patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff
  • Document care provided accurately and timely, and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
  • Must bring a state or federal issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
  • COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption required
  • BLS/CPR certification preferred
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred
  • Ability to pass background check and health screening
  • Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented with a patient-first mindset

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic patient care techniques, including ADLs, vital signs, and mobility assistance
  • Strong observation and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Ability to respond calmly and quickly to patient needs
  • Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
  • Physical endurance for standing, lifting, and transferring patients
