Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers, ambulation, and fall-prevention practices
- Document care accurately and timely in the resident chart
- Collaborate with the care team to create a comfortable, safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and local-only assignment requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a resident-centered approach
- Ability to pass facility background and health screenings as required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
- Basic clinical observation and vital sign monitoring
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Accurate documentation and time management
- Teamwork, empathy, and effective communication with residents and staff
