Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping them with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Take and record vital signs, and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families, making each day a little brighter.
• Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, safe, and comfortable.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to keep everyone safe and comfortable.
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver personalized care that promotes dignity and quality of life.

Qualifications

• You're a certified CNA in New Mexico (or able to obtain before start).
• You have a current BLS/CPR certification.
• You're fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.
• You've got at least 1 year of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting (preferred).
• You're a team player with a big heart and a can-do attitude.
• You're comfortable with standing, lifting, and being on your feet for shifts.

Knowledge & Skills

• Know your way around vital signs monitoring and patient hygiene.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with nurses, doctors, and families.
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic charting and documentation.
• A calm, patient approach even when things get busy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs.
