Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily living assistance to patients including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with meals, hydration, and nutrition tracking to promote patient well-being
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comforting environment for residents
- Work collaboratively with nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients during their recovery journey
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
- Current BLS (CPR) certification
- Compassionate and patient-centered with strong communication skills
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting patients
- Prior experience in rehabilitation or long-term care is a plus, but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of patient care principles and safety protocols
- Skilled in documenting patient information and vitals accurately
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient needs
