Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for acute care patients
• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional mobility, ADLs, and safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
• Document patient progress accurately in Cerner EMR
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home safety
• Adapt quickly to a fast-paced acute care environment

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapy license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care occupational therapy experience
• Two supervisor references required at submittal (one within 12 months, one within 3 years)
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
• Charge experience accepted for references

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in Cerner EMR
• Strong clinical reasoning in acute care settings
• Knowledge of functional mobility, ADLs, and cognitive rehabilitation
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and teams
• Time management and organizational skills
