Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records using Cerner
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to Mercy Medical Center Redding as first to float, providing coverage where needed
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population

Qualifications

• Active California Speech Language Pathologist license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an SLP
• Must be willing to float to Mercy Medical Center Redding

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
• Knowledge of evidence-based speech therapy techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptability to work in different healthcare environments
