Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, quickly identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while keeping patient safety a top priority
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations and patient care
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR (Meditech Expanse)
• Respond confidently to emergencies and code situations as part of the care team

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license in hand at profile upload
• 2+ years of current Medical Surgical experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be active and in hand at submission
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Willingness to float as needed
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and heart rhythm interpretation
• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing standards and best practices
• Comfort with electronic health records, especially Meditech Expanse
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
