Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, ensuring a calm and comfortable experience for young patients
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Keep accurate patient records and manage appointment flow
• Support the front desk with patient check-in and scheduling as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred, or willing to obtain certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiology/X-ray certification in Wisconsin or ability to obtain
• Prior experience in a dental office, especially pediatric dentistry, is a plus
• Compassionate and patient with children

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and chairside assisting
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Skills in digital radiography and dental practice management software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
