Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe mobility and fall-prevention practices during all shifts
- Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s charting system
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that preserves resident dignity
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
- Assist with meal service and ensure residents’ dietary needs are met during your shift
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Class: CNA) required
- Ability to work the 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM evening shift reliably
- Comfortable providing direct patient care and assisting with ADLs
- Compliance with facility requirements (background check, immunizations) as needed
- Positive attitude, strong communication, and a team-first mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care skills and safe transfer techniques
- Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
- Accurate documentation and time management during shifts
- Infection control practices and attention to safety protocols
