Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM (overnight) Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
Take and record vital signs and observe changes in patient condition
Support nursing staff with timely, accurate documentation and handoffs
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
Respond to patient needs and call lights with professionalism and empathy

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per-diem assignments
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and work collaboratively
Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs
Reliable vital-signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Infection prevention and safe body mechanics for transfers
Good communication and teamwork skills
Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
Basic charting and documentation practices
