Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures with attention to patient safety and sterile technique
• Prepare patients, instruments and imaging equipment (Siemens, GE, Philips) for scheduled procedures
• Monitor patients intra- and post-procedure, documenting status and escalating concerns to the care team
• Collaborate closely with physicians, RNs and technologists to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
• Support clinical trials and structural heart procedures when applicable, following protocol and documentation standards
• Maintain EMR documentation in Merge and ensure accurate, timely charting
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and participating in continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Texas State RN license or Compact RN license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related interventional setting
• Comfortable working with Siemens, GE and Philips imaging systems
• Experience with EMR (Merge) preferred
• Team-focused, self-motivated, and able to handle a fast-paced cardiology environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cath lab procedures and interventional radiology workflows
• Familiarity with Structural Heart procedures and support for clinical trials
• Proficiency with imaging systems (Siemens, GE, Philips) and EMR - Merge
• Excellent patient monitoring, aseptic technique and procedural prep skills
• Clear communication, clinical documentation and teamwork abilities
