Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality computed tomography studies following protocol and tailoring exams to patient history and radiologist instructions
• Administer IV and oral contrast per departmental protocols and monitor patients throughout procedures
• Provide radiation protection using shielding and collimation to minimize exposure for patients and staff
• Assist radiologists with sterile procedures and practice sterile technique when required
• Obtain vital signs, perform venipuncture, and monitor patients’ physical and mental condition during exams
• Document all patient interactions and procedure details accurately in the EMR (EPIC)
• Recognize and respond to allergic reactions or other urgent clinical situations and assist the radiologist with treatment

Qualifications

• ARRT registration — required
• BLS (AHA) certification — required
• Minimum 2 years of CT/imaging experience — required
• Ability to perform X-Ray (radiography) in addition to CT — required
• Proficiency with IV contrast administration and venipuncture
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Toshiba CT scanner experience is a plus
• Comfort assisting with sterile procedures and obtaining/documenting vital signs
• Candidates must provide work history, recent skills checklist, and supervisory references (within last 2 years); facility has a 50-mile radius restriction and will not consider local candidates within that range
