Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in an acute care setting
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality care
- Monitor patient condition and escalate changes promptly to providers
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Document care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty certifications are a plus
- Previous acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred (1+ year encouraged)
- Strong clinical assessment, IV and medication administration skills
- Reliable, team-oriented, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and critical thinking
- Medication administration and IV therapy
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
