Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including vascular, body, extremities, thyroid, paracentesis and thoracentesis with skill and compassion
• Execute Transcranial Dopplers (TCDs) and vascular studies accurately, documenting findings in Meditech
• Operate and maintain GE Logic E9 and E10 equipment, ensuring quality images and patient safety
• Communicate findings and patient status clearly to the care team and escalate concerns when appropriate
• Provide empathetic patient care, prioritizing safety and comfort for every exam
• Participate in unit workflows including portable studies and occasional floating assignments

Qualifications

• ARDMS or ARRT certification required
• Vascular registry (RVT) required or strongly preferred
• BLS certification required
• At least one year of clinical ultrasound/vascular experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience with vascular and general sonography procedures (thyroid, extremities, body, paracentesis/thoracentesis, TCDs)
• Strong patient-focused interpersonal skills and ability to work in a small team

Education

• Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field, or equivalent clinical experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with GE Logic E9 and E10 ultrasound systems
• Experience using Meditech EMR (or similar) for exam documentation
• Solid knowledge of vascular anatomy and sonographic protocols
• Skilled in portable imaging and adapting to varied clinical settings
• Good time management, critical thinking, and clear clinical communication
