Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the unit
• Perform assessments, develop and update care plans, and document accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely following hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent patient care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed
• Support unit quality improvement and participate in best-practice initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in North Carolina (or compact RN eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS/PALS as required by unit preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass background check and comply with facility onboarding

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of inpatient nursing practices and protocols
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Patient assessment, triage, and care-plan development
• Infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients effectively
