Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts; schedule varies to fill unit needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive labor and delivery care to mothers and newborns in a 7-bed LDRP unit
  • Monitor fetal well-being using AWHONN acuity staffing ratios and GE Centricity Perinatal
  • Assist with inductions, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, tubal ligations, D&Cs, vaginal repairs, and more
  • Perform labor triage and antepartum care, including NSTs and steroid injections
  • Attend deliveries and provide newborn resuscitation for low-risk newborns
  • Collaborate with a team of 2 RNs and 1 OB Surgical Tech on night shift, floating to PCT if census is low

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
  • Labor triage, OR circulator, and newborn resuscitation experience required
  • Experience with EPIC and GE Centricity Perinatal preferred
  • IUPC/FSE placement and JADA/COOKS/BAKRI placement are nice to have

Knowledge & Skills

  • Comfortable using EPIC EMR and GE Centricity Perinatal monitoring systems
  • Skilled in fetal monitoring, including AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring
  • Knowledgeable in induction of labor, vaginal delivery, c-section assistance, and antepartum care
  • Able to place IUPC/FSE and assist with JADA/COOKS/BAKRI placement (preferred)
  • Strong team player with flexibility, honesty, and accountability
