Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate young patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling
• Create a warm, friendly, and reassuring atmosphere to make dental visits fun and stress-free

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or licensure as required by Wisconsin state law
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in a pediatric or family dental practice is a plus
• A caring and patient demeanor when working with children
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control standards
• Proficiency with dental software, digital radiography, and patient management systems
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate, approachable, and committed to providing excellent patient care
