Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional dental hygiene care including cleanings and prophylaxis
- Assist dentists during exams and procedures to ensure smooth patient flow
- Educate patients on oral health and preventive care techniques
- Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
- Document patient histories and treatment plans accurately
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment thoroughly
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect patients' teeth
- Conduct oral health assessments to identify potential issues early
Qualifications
- Current Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- CPR/BLS certification
- Experience in dental hygiene with excellent clinical skills
- Strong communication and patient interaction abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality care
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental hygiene techniques and procedures
- Radiography certification and ability to take x-rays
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
- Familiarity with dental software for patient records
- Patient education expertise in oral hygiene and preventive care
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
