Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and develop dental x-rays and diagnostic images
• Document patient care, treatment plans, and medical histories
• Assist dentists during procedures and provide chairside support
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
• Proficiency with dental software and electronic charting systems
• Excellent patient education and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dental care team
