Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate care to laboring patients during delivery and recovery
• Monitor fetal heart rates and identify any signs of distress to keep moms and babies safe
• Support new parents with postpartum care and newborn feeding education
• Perform essential newborn testing, including CCHD, metabolic screening, bilirubin, and hearing screening
• Assist with C-sections and collaborate with the care team for optimal outcomes
• Step in as a sitter in the ED or Med/Surg when needed, making a difference wherever help is needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Utah or a compact state
• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Nursery experience is a must-have
• Current certifications: ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and CEFM or AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• C-Section experience is a nice-to-have bonus

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of labor and delivery nursing best practices
• Skilled in fetal monitoring and interpreting results
• Proficient in newborn care and postpartum support
• Comfortable with Meditech EMR and CPN
• Team player who asks questions and lends a hand to coworkers
