Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during a variety of complex surgical procedures, including ortho trauma, spine, neuro, robotics, and vascular surgeries
• Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment according to procedure requirements
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and efficiently pass instruments and supplies
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
• Accurately document surgical procedures and patient information in the Cerner system
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care and positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Active CSTFA, CFA, or RNFA certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
• Experience with robotic surgical systems (Da Vinci, Mako, Velys) is a plus
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
• Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including ortho trauma, neuro, spine, GYN, general, robotics, vascular, urology, pediatrics, ENT, plastics, podiatry, OMF, dental, and eye trauma
• Skilled in surgical assisting and maintaining a sterile field
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment
• Experience with Cerner EMR system
• Ability to respond quickly and adapt to changing surgical situations
